The Malinois Collective exists for one reason: to support the people who live and work with Belgian Malinois.
We are a not-for-profit community project made up of this website and an active Facebook group. We do not breed dogs, we do not sell dogs, and we have no commercial kennel operations. Any claim suggesting otherwise is false.
Our mission is simple:
- Share knowledge and experience from real handlers and owners.
- Promote responsible, ethical ownership of Belgian Malinois.
- Provide a long-term resource that cuts through the noise of social media trends and bad advice.
Everything we publish – from articles and guides to news updates – is written for the community and by the community. Any funds raised through merchandise or donations are used only to support the site and give back to Malinois owners.

Why the Collective Exists
Too many Malinois end up in kill shelters or passed from home to home. The reason is rarely the dog — it’s the mismatch between the breed’s needs and an owner’s preparation. People underestimate just how much structure, stimulation, and management these dogs require. When that reality hits, owners can feel overwhelmed, and the dog pays the price.
The Malinois Collective was created to tackle that problem head-on. Our goal is not to sell training or replace the role of a qualified, in-person trainer. Instead, this platform exists to give owners the information, context, and insight they need to truly understand their dog — and to make better choices about training, management, and lifestyle.
Our Structure
The Malinois Collective is in the process of becoming a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) in the UK. This structure is similar in principle to a U.S. 501(c) non-profit: it means there are no shareholders, no dividends, and no private profit. Any income is put straight back into the organisation to support the community and expand the resources available.
Our Purpose
- Education first: help owners understand the breed before problems spiral.
- Community-driven: the Collective is powered by handlers, trainers, and enthusiasts sharing hard-earned experience.
- Support, not sales: we don’t push courses or quick fixes. Instead, we aim to point owners towards practical knowledge and, when needed, professional help.
- Prevention over crisis: by giving people the right knowledge early, fewer dogs will end up in rescue or shelter systems.
